3 Reasons to Travel with Wolf Ceramics

Northwest Portland-based ceramics studio, Wolf Ceramics, crafts with a conscience. Founder Sarah Wolf is an artist, maker and ceramicist. She started her growing company to pursue her passion and hasn’t looked back. She’s a fearless entrepreneur who knows the value of creating pieces you’ll use—and care about—for life. We’re excited to explore the art, craft and community of Oaxaca with Sarah.

True Craft

She studied geochemistry and almost earned a graduate degree in architecture, but then Sarah decided ceramics was her true love. “I love working with my hands, and it is incredibly satisfying to make objects that will be well used.”

Feel at Home

In an age where things are abundant in our lives, Sarah encourages us to think about the meaning behind what we surround ourselves. “Our goal is to create pieces that people will make a part of their lives, pieces that will have a home.”

Artful Experience

Having traveled and taught workshops around the country and the world, Sarah’s excited to explore the artful side of Oaxaca—the craft and community of the indigenous people that give this region of Mexico is magic.
