Global Authority on Mexican Sweets, Fany Gerson
You’ve stepped into the mercado, but it’s as if you’ve entered a parallel universe—one ruled by riotous color, texture, and motion. Mangos gleam like sunlight beside sticky tarugos, while marzipan pyramids compete with sizzling food stalls and blur-fast line cooks. Over the past few days, you’ve wandered Frida Kahlo’s kaleidoscopic home, stood before ancient relics, and met culinary visionaries shaping the future of Mexican cuisine. Later, you’ll drift past floating gardens and serenading mariachis in Xochimilco. But here, in this moment, surrounded by scent and spectacle, you know exactly where you are: Mexico City in full sensory surround.

- Cruise the Xochimilco canals

“The amount of culture and history our local guide provided surpassed my expectations. I learned more in four days than I would have with a month on my own.”
I loved how incredibly knowledgeable our local guide was.
Being in a like-minded group of curious travelers pushed me outside my comfort zone to try new foods, explore new perspectives and even fly in a hot-air balloon over the pyramids!
