Domaine Carneros CEO and Winegrower, Remi Cohen
You stand beneath the vaulted cellars of Taittinger, where bottles rest in centuries-old silence and the air carries a whisper of stone. The méthode traditionnelle comes alive in this cool underground cathedral—its elegance a throughline that reaches across continents, carried later to Domaine Carneros by the Taittinger family. Tomorrow, you’ll be surrounded by candlelight and color in the vaulted halls of the Hospices de Beaune, where history clings to the rafters and every corridor tells a story of generosity and grace. In a few days at Maison Louis Jadot’s estate, you’ll continue to trace a commitment to place and precision. For now, it’s the hum of Champagne’s past that lingers—a reminder that the very best wines take their time, and so do we.

3 Reasons to Travel with Domaine Carneros
Founded in 1987 by Champagne legend Claude Taittinger, Domaine Carneros brings French heritage and méthode traditionnelle winemaking to Napa Valley. Its legacy of visionary female leadership began with founding winemaker Eileen Crane and continues today with CEO Remi Cohen, a UC Davis–trained viticulturist with two decades of experience across winemaking, operations, and sustainability. With a leadership style committed to mentorship, transparency, and joy, Cohen is shaping the next chapter of Carneros winemaking. From its hilltop château, Domaine Carneros crafts elegant sparkling wines and expressive Pinot Noir—inviting guests to toast the good life with purpose and a bit of sparkle.

Reshaping Leadership
Remi Cohen leads with equal parts expertise and heart. A vineyard-trained CEO and one of Wine’s Most Inspiring People, she’s reshaping what leadership looks like in the wine world—mentorship, transparency, and joy at the core. Under her watch, Domaine Carneros is proving that excellence and empathy are not mutually exclusive.
Future-Minded, Rooted Deep
At Domaine Carneros, sustainability isn’t a trend—it’s an ongoing priority. From microgrid innovation to viticulture, their commitment to responsible winemaking runs deep. It’s a natural extension of méthode traditionnelle: slow, thoughtful, and rooted in care for land, legacy, and the next generation of vintners and guests.
Living Wine
At Domaine Carneros, méthode traditionnelle is the soul of each bottle. After primary fermentation, wines undergo a second transformation in bottle, where living yeasts craft the delicate bubbles that define world-class sparkling wine. It’s centuries-old Champagne savoir faire, carried forward with California-grown grapes and unmistakable elegance.

Where We Sleep

The easy elegance and heritage of Champagne and Burgundy are on full display at both of these iconic hotels.
*On rare occasions, our hotels will change. Our standards for luxury and authenticity will not.
La Caserne Chanzy
ReimsOnce the city’s central firehouse, La Caserne Chanzy is now a chic boutique hotel with Champagne in its bones. Steps from the Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Reims, its rooms blend Art Deco touches with modern softness, while the in-house spa and Champagne bar invite quiet indulgence between cellar visits and strolls through Reims’ storied boulevards.

Hotel Le Cep
BeauneIn the heart of medieval Beaune (“Capital of the wines of Burgundy”), Hotel Le Cep weaves together history and hospitality with unmistakable charm. Created by uniting of two private mansions and their historical 16th-century courtyard it’s vine-covered walls and antique furnishings create a richly atmospheric base for exploring Burgundy. After a day of tasting, retreat to the full-service spa or your sumptuously appointed suite, where elegance lingers in every detail.
