A leg of lamb slow-roasts for hours in the Andean open air, and a freshly butchered steak sizzles. You tuck an alpaca blanket over your lap in the crisp night and raise a glass of Malbec to your lips. Next to you is one of the region’s most decorated winemakers, deep in conversation with her glass. Wine is as personal and alive as every individual with you. No Malbec you’ve tried compares with this experience in its birthplace. You look up and breathe in the view of the snowy Andean range before you. Tomorrow you’re climbing it, like a gaucho, on horseback…
Join us on this epic journey of Argentina’s wine country and its culture capital, Buenos Aires, alongside Rob Alstrin, the CEO of Adelsheim Vineyard. Together we’ll explore the fruits of this mountainous wine region, settled by French vintners 150 years ago for its fertile soils and pure waters. We’ll take it all in, meeting the people behind Argentina’s top wineries and savoring intimate meals prepared by the region’s top chefs. Then we’ll take on the best of Buenos Aires, with walks of historic barrios, VIP visits of ornate theaters, intimate tango shows at local haunts, and a visit to the studio of iconic muralist Marino Santa María.
If you’ve ever enjoyed a glass of Malbec, you’ll love its homeland. If you have a taste for world-class wine, good food and vibrant culture, this trip is for you. Join us!
