Best of Piedmont, from Bra and Pollenzo to La Morra and Torino
Sleeves rolled high, you’re elbow deep in fresh white truffles, fragrant olive oil, and nutty Raschera cheese. This is Piedmont’s legendary cuisine up close and personal, a hands-on masterclass in timeless flavors and produce so fresh it still tastes like the sun. Fittingly, you’re in Bra, the birthplace of Italy’s Slow Food Movement and a picturesque hub for the kind of organic, producer-driven fare you’ve been sampling all week: glistening mozzarella in Costigliole d’Asti, biodynamic Barolo in Monferrato, and bite-sized, velvety chocolate layered with thick gianduia cream. Later this week, you’ll dive even deeper into the Langhe’s storied terroir, but right now, flour-dusted and firmly rooted in the camaraderie of the kitchen, you feel the magic of Piedmont deep in your bones. This is Northern Italy in all its glory.
Joining us is the incredibly talented wine director, Sarah Sutel Looper. The former Tasting Director of Wine & Spirits, Sarah has lent her expertise to some of New York’s buzziest restaurants. Her real passion, however, lies in education. Whether she’s leading pairing courses at home in New York or teaching tasting techniques in her highly addictive—and highly popular—“Bodega Wine Mondays” series on Instagram, Sarah’s committed to making wine accessible to all. We can’t think of a better guide to savoring Piedmont’s most iconic blends and bottles.
If your idea of the perfect adventure is tinged with local wines, ancient history, and plenty of truffles, then this is the trip for you. Join us as we celebrate the artisans, chefs, and visionaries of Italy’s cuisine culture.

3 Reasons to Travel with Sarah Sutel Looper
Sarah Sutel Looper’s accolades stretch far and wide: she’s led wine programs at some of New York’s most revered dining spots, from the Metropolitan Opera to Greenwich Village's Mas Farmhouse. Sarah is unquestionably among the wine world’s elite, yet she’s most passionate about sharing her expertise with others—spreading joy one Barolo at a time.

A Taste for Piedmont
Sarah’s been traveling to Piedmont since 2011. Her connections to the region’s winemakers, chefs, and vintners run deep from hand-punching Pinot Noir with Giulia Negri to walking the vineyards with Pier Busso, experiencing Piedmont’s iconic terroir at its most intimate.
Somm for Everyone
Deemed the working class hero of the wine world, Sarah breaks down complex tasting themes with ease and fluidity. She’s a favorite lead wine educator at Murray’s Cheese in NYC and deeply passionate about sharing the full story of both the wine and its maker.
Foodie First
Though Sarah’s best known for her extensive wine wisdom, at her core she’s a foodie—and a bonafide one at that. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America’s Baking & Pastry program, her pairings are agile and innovative, the just-right match for anything from citrusy Moscato to tannic Barbaresco.

Giorgio was a delight, so warm and open. Traveling with him in his native Piedmont was such a privilege.
I was blown away by how flawlessly Modern Adventure fulfilled and exceeded my expectations.
Scuffing through the leaves on the truffle hunt in the woods, and then later eating at the truffle-dog owner's home—incredible!

Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement for your trip costs; if your trip plans change for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to get medical help, emergency transport, and for theft, loss or damage of items while traveling. For best coverage, always insure the full trip cost within two weeks of your initial trip deposit and note that most ‘Cancel For Any Reason’ policies must be purchased on the date of your initial deposit.
