Make It Yours

Add a few nights in Portland, explore deeper in wine country, or add a few days on the coast—the choice is yours, and our team will make all the logistics seamless.

Possibilities

Although the focus of our MO/AD Retreat is wine, there are so many opportunities to delve deeper into cuisine, art or craft. Here are some of our recommendations for your MO/AD Retreat:

Day 1

Spend a day in Portland (we’ll set you up with a chef’s table at one of our local favorites), or head straight to wine country to celebrate farm-to-table craftsmanship in McMinnville, a charming little town in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Visit some of the region’s most notable vineyards for tasting and and in-depth appreciation of what makes this bucolic region so special. Of course, we’ll pair your bites with some of our favorite wines.

  • Private transfer from Portland
  • Winery visits and private tastings
  • Dinner in McMinnville

Days 2 - 3

Start the day at Domaine Drouhin, to celebrate French soul on Oregon soil (the family’s winemaking roots were planted in Burgundy in the 1880s). Next, it’s Hazelfern Cellars for lunch and a look at a newer winery, started by Bryan and Laura Laing in their Portland basement and now an award-winning go-to for the historic farmhouse setting. You’ll take in a handful of other wineries in the region, from Stoller to Argyle, including a private tour of Adelsheim Vineyard, started by David Adelsheim back in the 1970s as the first winery in the Chehalem Mountains appellation.

  • Wine tastings at some of our favorites: Domaine Drouhin, Hazelfern Cellars, Stoller, Argyle Winery
  • Private tour of Adelsheim Vineyard
  • Customize your itinerary with additional vineyards and wineries

Days 4 - 5

We recommend a few days on the coast to connect and recharge. After a fresh seafood lunch, head north up the coastline to Cannon Beach and spend the night just steps away from the ocean, with a sunset beach bonfire. You’ll have a full day here to enjoy the stunning ocean views, hike through towering forest greenery to a sprawling dramatic coastline, or simply enjoy the shops and restaurants of Cannon Beach.

  • Explore the Oregon coast
  • Cannon Beach sunset bonfire
  • Closing celebration for your retreat
