Just like that, the raucous conversations fade to a whisper. You’re raising a glass of Sherry in a centuries-old tabanco bar, transfixed by a dancer’s emphatic stomp and the flurry of guitars and castanets. This is true flamenco, bold and elegant, born of life’s sorrows and loves–and unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. In fact, Andalucía has been something of a fairy tale from the start. You’ve met fourth-generation winemakers and traditional jamón and cheese makers. You’ve had a full-on tapeo (tapas crawl) in Seville, and cooked meals in the company of a world-class chef who’s every bit as excited to be here as you. At every step the experience has been what Andalusians call alegría: an explosion of food, wine, laughter and joy.
Our travel companion is Sandra Cordero, an award-winning chef from Los Angeles with deep roots in Europe—she grew up in Amsterdam and spent her summers on a family farm in Spain. Andalusia takes on new meaning with Sandra, who is as ready to dance flamenco as she is to roam the streets of Seville and Málaga for tapas, fine Sherries and the freshest seafood.
If your idea of the perfect getaway is sampling regional Andalusian specialties in the most stunning settings, this trip is for you. We’ll meet vintners and chefs, farmers and cheese makers. We’ll dance the night away to traditional flamenco, and, of course, eat all the tapas our hearts desire. Experience Andalusian beauty in all its forms, from the grandest palace to the most rustic marketplace.

3 Reasons to Travel with Sandra Cordero
Spending summers in Spain on her extended family's farm—that's how Sandra Cordero grew up, learning the roots of Spanish cuisine and the simple, beautiful meals made from the bounty of a farm. Sandra brings these early life experiences to bear in her award-winning Gasolina, in LA’s San Fernando Valley. Paella nights that double as joyful neighborhood get-togethers, tapas that wowed the late, great LA restaurant critic Jonathan Gold... it's all part of Sandra's magic.

Spain is Personal
Sandra is half Dutch, half Spanish. Which means she loves to ride bikes and dance flamenco. She's also a James Beard-recognized chef and a Food Network Cutthroat Kitchen champion who can't wait to share her Spain.
Fierce Advocate
After opening her dream cafe in LA, Sandra was determined to help other women do the same. She co-founded Re:Her, a nonprofit that provides grants and other resources to women in the LA area who want to advance their own culinary careers.
Once Upon a Farm
Sandra is passionate about connecting people to the food that they eat, and bringing awareness to the people who help make it happen, from organic farmers in LA to Andalusian cheesemakers and sherry producers.
Your Experience

“The Spanish know how to eat, and they know how to turn every meal into a celebration.”
Málaga, Jerez, Seville

“Any reasonable person who looks at Spain, comes to Spain, eats in Spain, drinks in Spain, they’re going to fall in love.”
Where We Sleep

Traditional architecture meets contemporary design. Enjoy the understated luxury and sophistication of our boutique Andalusian hotels.
Palacio Solecio
MálagaIn the heart of Málaga's historic core, this luxurious 18th-century palacio (mansion) is a destination in its own right. The contemporary interior takes inspiration from the palacio’s original construction: beamed ceilings, marble pillars, wrought-iron balconies, and beautiful Moorish cordobanes (decorative leather hangings). The Museo Picasso, Roman theater, cathedral, and Alcazaba are all just around the corner.

Hotel Bodega Tío Pepe
Jerez de la FronteraThe world's first 'Sherry hotel' is housed in a former 19th-century winery in the heart of Jerez’s old quarter. Former workers’ cottages have been transformed into sumptuous guest rooms surrounded by serene gardens and vine-covered courtyards. The hotel terrace has a swanky rooftop pool and bar with deeply satisfying views of Jerez's 17th-century cathedral and Alcazar.

Palacio Villapanés
SevilleThis regal five-star hotel is one of the grandest in Seville. Much of the original 18th-century décor remains, with black-and-white marble floors and elegant garden courtyards, creating a sumptuous backdrop. The rooms have all the comforts you'd expect; the terrace has a small pool and stunning views of central Seville.

For best coverage, always insure the full trip cost within two weeks of your initial trip deposit and note that most ‘Cancel For Any Reason’ policies must be purchased on the date of your initial deposit.

You may cancel on or before January 29, 2023 and receive a full refund minus a $500 per-person service fee. If you cancel on or after January 30, 2023, there is a 50% cancellation fee. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance as we are not able to make exceptions to this policy in cases of family/medical emergency or cases of the trip being canceled (see our Terms and Conditions for full details).
